Charlie became interested in harmonica after buying his first guitar at age 14. " I never did get too far on the guitar, but it did eventually lead me to the harmonica " .
Charlie was inspired by people like Jon Mayall. Jonathan Edwards, and "classic rock stuff," until he recieved a Sonny Terry and Brownie McGee album from his friend, Brian Lavender, a harmonica player who showed him what he should be listening to. From that point, Charlie began to listen to the great blues artists like Muddy Waters "... and all the usual suspects."
Many happy years of harmonica playing followed.
Charlie joined the Kerry Kearney Band in 1997 and has been with the band ever since.
His melodic riffs will enchant you.
